Job Description

Schedule: Mon-Fri, hours may vary, starting as early as 6:30 am and ending as late as 6:30 pm. Total of 40 hours per week.

The Nurse Clinician will work in a multidisciplinary environment requiring exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, and other healthcare staff. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments via phone or in person, implementing nursing interventions, and organizing patient education tailored to the population served.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment; ensure OSHA compliance; report and assist in rectifying deficiencies; supervise medical equipment care.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document findings clearly and legibly, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Execute routine nursing duties such as phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and lab specimen preparation. Demonstrate competency in complex procedures like conscious sedation and chemotherapy administration.
  • Interpret test results, take appropriate actions, and document interventions accurately.
  • Coordinate with other departments and outside agencies to ensure proper patient care.
  • Manage incoming calls, triage, and prioritize patient needs using clinical assessment skills.
  • Handle urgent/emergent situations per protocols, operate emergency equipment.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and physicians, delegate tasks legally and appropriately, and proactively address patient care needs.
  • Follow all policies, suggest improvements, and implement new protocols efficiently.
  • Coordinate patient education, ensure understanding, and participate in community outreach and educational programs.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school
  • State RN license
  • Basic CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an acute or outpatient setting
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (may be required for some positions)
