Job Description

The Nurse Clinician will work in a multidisciplinary environment, requiring excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, and staff. Responsibilities include performing patient assessments, implementing nursing interventions, and organizing patient education for the unit's population.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately in the medical record.
• Perform routine nursing duties such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs measurement. Demonstrate competency in specialty procedures.
• Interpret test results, take appropriate actions, and document interventions.
• Coordinate care with other departments and outside agencies.
• Manage telephone triage, prioritize calls, and document assessments.
• Handle urgent medical situations following organizational protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians, delegate tasks appropriately, and adhere to policies.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education, ensuring understanding and return demonstration when needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate’s degree in Nursing
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• State Licensed Registered Nurse
• Certification in Basic CPR
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (may be required for certain positions)
