Job summary
Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to influence patient care through collaboration with managers and participation in hospital councils and nursing initiatives. You’ll help shape decisions that elevate patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
You will lead rounds, mentor new nurses, support rapid responses, teach essential skills, and partner with unit leaders to foster accountability, safety, and teamwork, while ensuring regulatory standards and best practices
Qualifications
- Active RN license and Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
- Certifications must be obtained within specified timelines.
Responsibilities
- Rounding on units to observe care and coach staff on safe, quality practices.
- Guide new and transitioning nurses through skill development and care planning.
- Support during rapid responses and codes with debriefs to reinforce learning.
- Teach and troubleshoot essential nursing skills and identify learning needs.
- Enforce safety standards and regulatory expectations (AIDET, Teach‑Back).
- Partner with unit leaders to support nurse growth and teamwork.
