Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX seeks a Registered Nurse Quality Coordinator to influence patient care through collaboration with management and participation in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives.

You will assist the Quality Management Director by identifying improvement opportunities, planning interventions, and teaching PI methods to staff, while leading efforts to ensure outcomes align with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• MSN required.
• Education experience within the last 3 years.
• Clinical experience within the last 5 years.
• Proficient in computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, presentations).
• Strong interpersonal communication across diverse management hierarchies and cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of the hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program.
• Work with Medical Staff leadership, regulatory agencies, and hospital staff as directed.
• Reviews medical records according to criteria and outcome data identified.
• Identifies and develops organizational improvement opportunities while looking at specific clinical outcomes.
• Participates in education of hospital and medical staff in the performance improvement program/methodology and current requirements.
• Oversees the surveillance and outcomes of HAC prevention.
