Job description

The Registered Nurse manages all aspects of the nursing process and the delivery of patient and family-centered care. The RN has the responsibility and authority to request and utilize governing and administrative resources, technological systems, support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts to ensure the delivery of quality, cost-effective patient care.

RN Specialties & Additional Requirements:

1. ED: BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
2. OR: Proficiency in hospital software; BLS required; minimum 3 years OR nursing experience; circulating and scrub skills; call required.
3. First Assist OR: Circulating and scrub skills; RNFA program completion per AORN standards; call required; minimum 3 years OR nursing experience.
4. PACU: Minimum 3 years critical care or specialty experience; ACLS and PALS required.
5. ICU: ACLS required.
6. Cardiac Rehab: Knowledge of hospital software; minimum 2 years medical/surgical and recent cardiac nursing experience; certifications include BLS, ACLS; preferred ANCC Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification.
7. Med Surg: BLS and/or ACLS; 2+ years experience preferred.
8. Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery: BLS and PALS; ENPC preferred for Pedi ED; NRP for nursery; minimum 2 years pediatric or L&D experience.
9. Pre-Op Eval: 2 years critical care experience.
10. Radiology: 3 years medical surgical experience; 1 year critical care preferred; BLS and ACLS required.
