Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN degree within five years of job entry date.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• Critical Care experience preferred
• IV skills are highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Acts as a leader coordinating patient care on the unit and collaborating with physicians and health team members.
• Assesses physiologic and psychosocial health, identifies outcomes, and plans care.
• Implements the care plan, administers medications, and documents patient responses.
• Provides discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Collaborates with care team and ensures safety and quality outcomes.
• Performs related duties as required.
