Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant for Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. The per diem role offers flexible shifts, including weekends/holidays, with 7:00am–7:30pm and 7:15pm–7:15am blocks and a 48-hour six-week schedule.

Under general supervision, you will assist with basic care, hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and patient environment, coordinating with licensed staff as needed. Certification and vaccinations are required or exemptions documented.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant Training Program is suggested.
• Massachusetts Nursing Assistant Certification or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination preferred or exemption documented.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including personal hygiene and mobility.
• Assist with nutritional support and maintain patient environment.
• Support licensed staff with related duties as needed.

We are searching for a talented Nurse Assistant

Hours: Per Diem

Shift:Flexible shifts & hours with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am - 7:30pm and 7:15pm - 7:15am; Schedule 48 hrs per 6-week schedule in which 16 hrs are on weekends. Schedule 1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday per the needs to the schedule.

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Under general supervision of individually assigned Manager, Patient Care Services or Designee, perform a variety of duties including basic care including personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining of patient environment, providing assistance to licensed staff in carrying out other related duties, etc.

• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant Training Program is suggested.
• Equal to completion of four years of high school.
• Up to and including three months experience.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or the equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
