Southcoast Health invites applications for a Nursing Assistant (HUC) position at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, MA. This role requires providing patient care duties, basic hygiene, and supportive unit coordination

Night shifts include 7:15pm–7:15am with weekend/holiday rotation; a $900 new hire sign-on bonus is offered. Qualifications include MA NAA certification and CPR, with vaccination requirements. 24-hour shifts, on-site employment.

Qualifications

• Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• Computer skills including knowledge of the Meditech computer system and related secretarial experience are preferred.
• Over three months of related work experience required.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Responsabilités

• Under general supervision of Manager, Patient Care or Designee, perform a variety of office, secretarial and other related duties both within and in support of assigned unit as well as a variety of patient care duties including basic care, personal hygiene, mobility, nutritional support, maintaining patient environment, etc.
• Responsible for efficient and effective coordination of services which ensure completion of daily activities of individual assigned nursing unit.
• Plan, organize, and direct all unit patient focused support activities including but not limited to coordinating ancillary patient/unit services and requests for equipment/supplies.
• Assist the Manager, Patient Care or Designee with patient care and other related duties and responsibilities as directed.

*$900 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

Hours: 24hrs

Shift: Night shift, 7:15pm - 7:15am with weekend and holiday rotation

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
