Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide/Healthcare Technician to support patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will help maintain a clean, safe patient environment and uphold professional competencies for the patient population served.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, hygiene, feeding, and clerical tasks while ensuring accurate medical records. ECG and venipuncture may be performed with proper training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Listed with NC DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I.
• Licensed Nurse Aide II by NC Board of Nursing is preferred.
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and height/weight measurements.
• Assist with personal hygiene and feeding.
• Maintain patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Orient patients/families to unit and instruct on safety measures.
• Assist with clerical tasks (phones, data entry, medical records).
• Maintain stock items in inventory and supply.
• Perform duties per Nurse Aide I/II scope (North Carolina).
• Perform ECGs and routine venipuncture as trained.
