Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output; record in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Transport supplies and maintain nursing area cleanliness.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers using proper technique.
• Maintain skin integrity and manage patient supplies (TED hose, etc.).
• Follow infection prevention policies and age-appropriate care guidelines.
