Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or with the state Board as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS certification is required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents with activities of daily living.
• Take vital signs and measure height and weight.
• Assist with personal hygiene and feeding.
• Maintain patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions.
• Orient patients/families to unit and safety procedures.
• Perform clerical tasks and data entry as needed.
• Maintain stock of supply items in inventory.
• Perform duties per Nurse Aide I/II scope as defined by state Boards.
• Perform EKG testing and routine venipuncture with proper training.
