Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide I to assist patients with daily living activities, hygiene, and comfort in a clinical setting. You will take vitals, assist with mobility, and help maintain clean rooms while observing for any health changes.

The role requires an active Nurse Aide I registration, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS. You will also perform light clerical tasks and ensure PHI is protected as per policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the state Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I.
• BLS certification required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene for patients.
• Takes vital signs and measures height and weight.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to procedures.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Observes and reports changes in patient conditions.
• Instructs patients and families on safety measures.
• Performs clerical tasks and maintains medical records.
• Manages inventory and stock of supplies.
• Performs Nurse Aide I tasks as per state guidelines.
• Administers basic tests (e.g., ECG) and venipuncture with proper training.
