At American Senior Communities, our Nurse Aide In Training positions help provide person-centered care to our residents while earning their Certified Nurse Aide certification.

The Nurse Aide Training program is a paid opportunity anyone can apply for to become a Certified Nurse Aide. It requires no previous work experience; you will complete 30 hours of classroom training and 75 hours of clinical practice to become a CNA. After completing the program, additional career advancement opportunities are available.

Responsibilities and impact at American Senior Communities:

• Assist with making resident beds
• Transport residents in wheelchairs to activities, dining, and therapy
• Distribute clothing protectors during meals
• Assist with setting up dining areas and passing food trays (feeding not included)
• Maintain supply levels, such as water pitchers and linens
• Help keep the unit clean and organized
• Transport soiled clothing and linens
• Participate in resident activities
• Report any changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse in charge
• Follow privacy laws and safety procedures, including PPE use
• Show teamwork and consistent attendance
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values in interactions
