Job description

At American Senior Communities, our Nurse Aide In Training positions help provide person-centered care to our residents while earning their Certified Nurse Aide certification.

ASC's Nurse Aide Training program is a paid job opportunity open to all applicants, with no prior experience required. The program includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 75 hours of on-the-floor clinical training to become a CNA. After completing the CNA program, additional career advancement opportunities are available.

What will you do, and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

  • Assist in making resident beds
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs to activities, dining, and therapy
  • Distribute clothing protectors and assist with dining room setup
  • Pass food trays without assisting with feeding
  • Ensure residents have full ice water pitchers and cups
  • Maintain cleanliness in the unit, including cleaning equipment and organizing resident areas
  • Transport soiled clothing to laundry or repair
  • Participate in resident activities
  • Report significant changes in residents' condition to the Unit Charge Nurse
  • Comply with privacy laws and use PPE appropriately
  • Demonstrate teamwork and consistent attendance
  • Uphold C.A.R.E. values in interactions
