Job summary

Duke Energy seeks an experienced leader to supervise a traveling turbine mechanical maintenance team at a nuclear generating facility, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient maintenance and project execution.

You will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors, while coaching teams in safety and performance improvements. This role requires extensive field leadership and hands-on problem solving within nuclear operations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED with 5+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience.
• Ability to lead matrixed teams and drive project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and supervision for the safe completion of all mechanical maintenance activities.
• Direct and delegate work to meet work management and schedule requirements.
• Ensure crew compliance with Safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Manage budgets and project submittal processes.
• Lead team meetings and communicate status to management.
• Provide technical implementation and quality control for turbines and related equipment.
• Staff and oversee multiple projects in various stages of development and execution.
