Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Nuclear Traveling Instrumentation & Electrical Technician based in Seneca, SC. The role requires maintenance, testing and calibration of instrumentation, electrical and control systems across multiple sites, with up to 100% travel.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and nuclear access. Prior experience with switchgear, breakers, transformers and electrical diagrams is preferred; DOT medical card and unescorted access are required where

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required.
Preferred: 1 year related experience on switchgear/load centers, breakers and transformers.
Experience reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and one-line drawings.
Experience utilizing electrical/instrumentation test equipment.
Lock out tag out experience is a plus.
Currently have Nuclear Access or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair and testing of switchgear/load centers, breakers and transformers.
Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and plans.
Maintain quality and productivity; communicate progress to team leads.
Develop proficiency with calibration equipment and specialty tooling.
Gain knowledge of maintenance procedures, manuals and codes.
Utilize Maximo, CAS, Tags Pro, Esoms, Nantel and related software.
