Job summary

Duke Energy in Huntersville, NC seeks a Manager Nuclear NDE Inspection Services to lead a staff of supervisors, NDE technicians, and professionals across all six nuclear facilities. This role can be located at McGuire Island or other Duke Energy locations.

Responsibilities include oversight of NDE programs, outage planning, and budgets; ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution while driving continuous improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• Two year technical degree in related inspection field or 12 years nuclear experience in lieu of degree.
• 10 years of professional level NDE experience in any method.
• Working knowledge of QA programs and ASME Code Sections II, III, V, IX, and XI.
• Ability to plan outages, budgets, and staffing for NDE activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NDE program across six nuclear facilities with outage planning and execution.
• Manage NDE Level III personnel and contract staff.
• Develop outage support plans, budgets, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and timely, error-free NDE activities.
• Coordinate training, development plans, and industry/regulatory engagement.
