Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Training Specialist to lead initial and continuing training for electrical maintenance personnel at the Prairie Island and Monticello Nuclear Plants. You will develop lesson plans, create exams, and coordinate vendor trainings, while maintaining training records in the Learning Management System and ensuring safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience required.
• Experience with training design, development, and delivery.
• Proficient in creating exams, lesson plans, and multimedia materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and continuing training in classroom and laboratory environments.
• Create/modify lesson plans, practical exercises, and multimedia materials for delivery.
• Develop and administer exams to validate knowledge of training materials.
• Coordinate training from equipment vendors and outside training organizations.
• Maintain records of personnel qualifications and training attendance.
• Schedule and notify personnel of training through the LMS and verify records.
