Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a leader to drive enterprise technical training and workforce capability. The role ensures safety, reliability, and cost efficiency through standardized programs across nuclear and non-nuclear areas.

The ideal candidate will partner with executives to align training with capital projects and performance goals, while maintaining regulatory readiness and instructional excellence in a hybrid Minneapolis-based setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years in nuclear or technical operations with leadership in training.
Experience leading large training organizations and enterprise initiatives.
Deep knowledge of training standards and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

Set and own enterprise technical training strategy aligned to business priorities.
Establish governance and ensure quality and instructional excellence.
Ensure compliance with NRC, NANT, and related regulatory requirements.
Monitor KPIs linking training to workforce readiness and safety outcomes.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing for large-scale programs.
