Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc. seeks an experienced training professional to design and deliver initial and ongoing training for electrical maintenance personnel at the Prairie Island and Monticello Nuclear Plants.

The role involves creating lesson plans, coordinating external training, and developing assessments to ensure high competency across maintenance teams. Applicants should have 5+ years of related experience and a strong background in power plant equipment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience required.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the troubleshooting process and/or power plant equipment.
• Experience in development and delivery of training.
• Knowledge of a systematic approach to training.
• Must effectively communicate ideas and concepts through written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and continuing training in classroom and laboratory environments. Provide just in time training as needed to support plant operational requirements.
• Coordinate training from equipment vendors and outside training organizations.
• Create/modify lesson plans, practical exercises, and multimedia training materials for effective delivery to maintenance and technical personnel.
• Develop and administer exams to validate knowledge of training materials.
