Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking a Thermal Performance Engineer to own and resolve high-level thermal performance issues for Beaver Valley, Perry, and Davis-Besse nuclear units. The role involves coordinating with vendors and internal teams to improve unit output through performance improvements.

The position requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree, typically 6+ years of relevant experience, and preference for nuclear experience.

Qualifications

• 4 yrs Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) from ABET accredited program.
• Minimum 6 yrs relevant job experience (Ideal).
• Nuclear experience preferred.
• Experience in thermal performance analysis of steam cycle components and systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves higher-tier thermal performance issues for nuclear units.
• Leads interpretation and analysis of complex thermal performance data.
• Coordinates projects and studies through to completion.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and vendors are supervised when needed.
• prepares reports and presents recommendations to resolve complex issues.
• Participates in special projects and committees as needed.
