Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulic Analysis Engineer to develop nuclear and mechanical safety analyses supporting licensing, design, qualification, and operability of nuclear facilities.

This role is part of the multi-disciplinary Engineering & Safety Analysis team working on radiological, mechanical, thermal-hydraulic, chemical and meteorological assessments. Remote will be considered for candidates with 6+ years of experience in the nuclear or power

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3+ years of safety analysis experience in a nuclear environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willing to travel to plant sites for meetings/assignments.

Responsibilities

Prepare calculations, evaluations and licensing documents for SAR, ISA, and LAR related to nuclear analysis licensing submittals.
Perform steady-state and transient thermal-hydraulic analysis of nuclear systems.
Model nuclear systems using RELAP5, RETRAN, MELCOR, MAAP and other tools.
Evaluate piping systems for hydrodynamic loads, water hammer and heat exchanger performance.
Support client reviews, expert panels and NRC audits.
