Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Safety Analysis Engineer to support licensing, design basis, and operability for nuclear facilities. You will perform radiological, thermal-hydraulic, chemical, and environmental assessments across plant systems and components.

The role offers full-time, part-time, or contract options with locations including Charlotte, NC, and other US sites. Travel may be required to client sites and regulatory engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering degree
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience of safety analysis work in a nuclear environment
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Interest in application of technical skills to unique, varied and challenging engineering problems
• Willing to travel to a plant site for meetings and/or assignment

Responsibilities

• Safety & Licensing Support: prepare calculations, evaluations, licensing documents and responses for licensing submittals
• Technical Analysis & Modeling: develop computer models using thermal hydraulics codes
• Radiological & Shielding Analysis: perform shielding and radiological evaluations for various applications
• Fuel & Criticality Assessment: develop nuclear fuels and criticality analyses
• Environmental & Impact Assessment: atmospheric dispersion and plume analyses
• Client Relations & Business Development: participate in client reviews and NRC audits
