Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Safety Analysis Engineer to support licensing, design basis, and operability in nuclear power and fuel cycle facilities.

You will perform radiological, thermal-hydraulic, chemical and environmental assessments for plants, structures and components with Knoxville, TN as a current site option. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will develop calculations, models and documentation, address NRC requests, and interact with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of safety analysis experience in a nuclear environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to travel to plant sites for meetings or assignments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare safety analysis calculations and licensing documents.
• Develop modeling using GOTHIC, RELAP, RETRAN, MAAP for plant systems.
• Perform shielding, radiological evaluations and environmental assessments.
• Develop nuclear fuels and criticality analyses.
• Conduct environmental dispersion and plume analyses.
• Support client relations and NRC audits.
