Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Test Engineering Consultant 2 to lead DCS and digital I&C upgrade projects for nuclear clients. This role offers remote work with travel to client sites and facilities, and requires strong leadership across testing lifecycle, strategy, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and turnover.

You will collaborate with project managers, I&C engineers, vendors, and regulators to deliver verified, compliant solutions and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, nuclear, controls engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in test engineering, commissioning, or I&C in nuclear or regulated industries.
• Experience with DCS, digital I&C, plant control systems, or automation platforms.
• Experience developing and executing formal test procedures and acceptance tests.
• Strong systems integration, requirements traceability, and configuration management.
• Willingness to travel 20–25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead test engineering for DCS and digital I&C upgrade projects.
• Develop and maintain project-specific test strategies, plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with discipline leads to align scope and deliverables.
• Review designs for testability and completeness.
• Provide guidance to test engineers and project teams.
• Interface with clients, vendors, regulators as appropriate.
• Develop project management and turnover plans with acceptance criteria.
