Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. seeks a Test Engineer to lead development and execution of verification and acceptance tests for first-of-a-kind nuclear systems. You will collaborate with Research and Engineering to design test plans, build test equipment, conduct testing, analyze data, and document results.

The role is on-site in Lynchburg, VA, within BWXT’s Advanced Technologies Office. Candidates must have a STEM degree, 2+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain DOE/DOD

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics required.
Minimum two years of related experience.
Experience with disciplined operations.
U.S. citizen; ability to obtain DOE/DOD clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop test plans and equipment for verification and acceptance testing.
Collaborate with R&D to design test setups and fixtures.
Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports.
Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
Ensure safety and compliance during testing.
Support commissioning activities and test readiness.
