BWXT in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Project Chief Engineer to lead the development of a novel nuclear reactor and plant from design through delivery and testing. You will serve as the technical design authority and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers.

The role requires broad technical background in nuclear engineering, strong leadership, and the ability to build relationships with customers and partners. On-site in Lynchburg, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Physics required.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience leading technical teams for medium and large projects.

Responsibilities

• Owns technical integrity of reactor and plant design.
• Define key technical approaches and problem-solve across disciplines.
• Lead reviews and disposition of non-conformances during manufacturing.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and partners on reactor plant development.
• Interface between manufacturing, procurement, and design organizations.
