Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural Design Engineer in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on analysis, design, and evaluation of structural systems within the Nuclear Design Group, with opportunities for mid-level, senior, or principal roles.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, travel as needed, and contribute to project scopes and estimates while advancing technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of structural systems including concrete and steel.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate Across Disciplines with professionals from various engineering fields.
• Lead Design Initiatives by developing design studies and project scopes.
• Craft innovative design solutions and provide engineering estimates.
• Engage in field operations including travel, site walkdowns, and overseeing field installations.
• Inspire teams and lead by example to achieve goals with a positive, results-driven attitude.
