Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group, supporting analysis, design, and evaluation of critical facilities across a range of projects. This is a civil/structural role with opportunities to grow into mid-level, senior, or principal positions and even leadership tracks.

Some roles may be remote or hybrid, and travel to sites is anticipated. Candidates should hold a Civil/Structural degree, have 3+ years of design experience in structural systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of structural systems including concrete and steel.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis, design, and evaluation of critical structures and components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations and specifications and communicate findings to project teams.
• Travel to site walks, oversee field installations, and support system start-ups.
• Lead design initiatives, craft project scopes, and develop engineering estimates.
