Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a qualified engineer to perform stress and structural analyses of systems and components used in nuclear power plant design. You will develop CAE models, run ANSYS simulations for fatigue, static and dynamic analyses, and prepare technical reports and design basis documents.

The role requires solid experience with ASME codes, experience with AutoPipe or piping design, and the ability to work evenings or weekends to meet deadlines. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience; nuclear industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with ANSYS and SolidWorks; familiarity with CREO a plus.
  • Experience designing/analzying systems per ASME codes (ASME III, ASME VIII) and working knowledge of ASME NQA-1.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical stress, structural and CFD analyses using ANSYS and other tools.
  • Write, review, and prepare calculations and reports per ASME NQA-1 requirements.
  • Design and analyze pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems per ASME and related codes.
  • Support thermal-fluid system design with pressure drop, line sizing, and equipment calculations.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks; experience with SolidWorks Simulation and CREO is a plus.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and potentially lead engineering activities.
