Job summary

Duke Energy in the United States is seeking a Training Specialist for its nuclear generating fleet. You will deliver instruction in classroom, simulator, lab, and in-plant settings, and help design and update training materials to meet regulatory and INPO requirements.

The role requires at least a high school/GED and two years of related experience, with an associate degree in technical science or engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED degree.
• 2 years related work experience.
• Associate degree in Technical Science or Engineering preferred.
• Experience in training activities or development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective instruction and evaluation in classroom, simulator, laboratory and/or in-plant settings.
• Support analysis, design, development and maintenance of training materials.
• Interface with plant engineering to evaluate training impact and develop gap training.
• Coordinate with internal groups and external agencies (INPO, NRC) to ensure training quality.
• Support assessments and outage/training during refueling outages and emergency response training.
