Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in engineering required or equivalent
• Master's in Engineering considered in lieu of Bachelor
• 0-2 years of engineering experience (Nuclear Engineer I) or 2-4 years (Nuclear Engineer II); nuclear experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and review neutronic analyses of nuclear fuel assemblies and fuel cycle designs
• Perform nuclear design safety calculations and generate operational predictions
• Manage project teams through the reload design process
• Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
• Develop, qualify, and maintain computer codes used in nuclear design analysis
• Provide fleet support to site reactor engineering teams and manage core monitoring software
• Collaborate/interface with Duke, industry, vendor, and regulatory personnel
• Participate in technical training activities
