Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation in New Hill, North Carolina, seeks an Electrical Engineer at Senior Engineer or Engineer III level to support Maintenance/Operations Engineering for the Harris Nuclear Plant. The role emphasizes reliability, planning, and maintenance execution across electrical systems.

Qualifications

Bachelors of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
A Master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Minimum of 4–6 years of engineering experience for Nuc Engineer III; 6+ years or 5+ with PE for Sr Nuc Engineer.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering/technical guidance on complex problems.
Support troubleshooting and reliability improvements in plant systems.
Coordinate maintenance planning and activities to meet station goals.
Prepare technical reports and analyses for defined problems.
Mentor other engineering professionals.
