Job summary

Duke Energy's Harris Nuclear Plant seeks a Nuclear Station Instructor to develop and deliver training for the nuclear generating fleet, covering classroom, simulator, and on-site settings. The role supports INPO and NRC requirements, and may involve outage support and emergency response preparation.

Candidates should have strong instructional skills, a background in radiation protection or related training, and the ability to collaborate with plant engineering and external agencies.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 2 years related work experience required.
• Five years of training experience preferred.
• Associate degree in an applicable technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and evaluation in classroom, simulator, laboratory, or in-plant settings.
• Develop and maintain training materials in coordination with plant engineering.
• Interface with INPO and NRC to ensure training program quality.
• Support outage activities and Emergency Response Organization qualification.
• Assist in assessments and regulatory compliance reviews.
• Travel 5-15% as needed.
