Job summary

TerraPower LLC. seeks a Senior Manager of Regulatory Construction Oversight to lead regulatory construction oversight for large reactor projects and to drive governance, scheduling, and supplier oversight.

The role requires guiding QA programs, coordinating with regulators, and ensuring timely responses with design and engineering teams. The position emphasizes building a high-performing, matrixed team, coordinating with partner organizations, and applying industry best practices to TerraPower’s

Qualifications

• 10+ years of direct nuclear reactor licensing, oversight management, and/or direct inspection experience, e.g. with NRC.
• Strong ability to lead a diverse technical staff and collaborate with partner organizations to resolve challenges.
• Excellent communicator, team oriented, able to operate in a matrix organization and direct remote team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Regulatory Construction Oversight processes and procedures.
• Lead scheduling for the Regulatory Construction Oversight organization including Kemmerer Unit 1 oversight and supplier facility assessments.
• Plan, coordinate, organize and execute ongoing regulatory construction oversight activities.
• Oversee staffing, training, performance management, time management, reporting and budgeting for the oversight program.
• Perform direct construction oversight activities, including inspections and QA program oversight.
• Lead interactions with federal, state, and local regulators.
• Collaborate with design authority and engineering groups to ensure timely regulatory responses.
• Represent TerraPower in industry groups, implementing lessons learned.
