Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Construction Oversight Engineer to join the Natrium Regulatory Construction Oversight team, reporting to the Senior Manager. The role supports advanced reactor projects by conducting technical inspections of Kemmerer Unit 1 and other Natrium units, and leads scheduling for oversight priorities.

Responsibilities include QA and supplier oversight, coordinating with QA, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience.
• 10-15 years of combined experience in nuclear regulatory compliance, including 10 CFR regulations and NRC reactor inspections.
• Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards.
• Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity and foster teamwork.
• Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on qualifications assessment.

Responsibilities

• Develop procedures for regulatory oversight to support Kemmerer Unit 1 and other Natrium units.
• Provide inspection oversight of construction, leveraging NRC regulations and inspection procedures.
• Review USO and TerraPower QA programs to meet all requirements.
• Conduct oversight of suppliers to ensure readiness for NRC inspections.
• Identify issues, communicate across teams, and recommend regulatory paths to resolve concerns.
• Serve as the lead scheduler for oversight and inspection activities.
• Track and analyze trends, recommending actions to management.
