Job summary

TerraPower seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the Kemmerer Power Station’s engineering programs, including design and system engineering, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety. You will govern policy, staffing, and resource allocation and serve as the Design Authority for station engineering.

You will drive integration of engineering with operations, maintenance, and construction, manage budgets, and oversee audits and readiness reviews to sustain long-term plant capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience at a nuclear power plant.
• Minimum 5 years in management or senior technical leadership roles.
• Supervisory/management experience during outages or at power.

Responsibilities

• Owns and governs the station’s Engineering programs, including standards, policies, procedures, resource allocation, staffing models, and regulatory compliance.
• Design Engineering, System Engineering, and Fire/Aging Management Engineering activities are performed per regulatory requirements and QA.
• Serve as Design Authority for Kemmerer Power Station with final approval on standards and policies.
• Integrate engineering requirements into operations, maintenance, and construction/startup activities.
• Develop and manage budgets and long-range resource plans for engineering programs.
• Lead audits, inspections, and readiness reviews affecting Engineering programs.
