Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance professional to implement and oversee a nuclear-based Independent Quality Assessment Program for the Hanford Waste Treatment project. This role reports to the WTCC Manager of Quality and requires extensive interaction with federal/state authorities and project management.

Responsibilities include developing audit plans, supervising QA activities, and maintaining QA documents and software tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, science, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university and 8 years of experience developing, implementing, or working to a DOE Order 414.1X compliant QA program.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's, an Associate’s degree with 10 years or a High School diploma with 12 years of relevant experience and 1 year supervisory or lead experience.
• Knowledge of QA requirements and their application to construction, engineering, procurement, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading teams in complex regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain audit and assessment schedules to ensure internal oversight is scheduled.
• Ensure audit follow-up activities are planned and completed.
• Maintain QA program procedures, templates, and tools for effective implementation.
• Direct review of procedures and project documents submitted to QA for review/approval.
• Oversee QA program software tools enhancements and improvements.
• Support corrective action programs to ensure screening and actions meet QA requirements.
• Provide proactive insights to identify potential quality failures and recommend solutions.
