Job summary

Amentum's WTCC Deputy Quality Assurance Manager will oversee theQuality Assurance function at the WTCC site, reporting to the WTCC Manager of Quality. You will engage with federal/state regulators and project stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and robust QA programs, while guiding an audits and assessments team.

Ideal candidates bring 13–15 years in engineering/QA with knowledge of nuclear facility operations, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of QA requirements and their application to construction, engineering, acquisition services, supplier quality, materials management, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of advanced techniques for audit, assessment, event investigation, cause analysis, human performance, and corrective action
• Knowledge of issues management and corrective action programs
• Demonstrated knowledge of design, procurement, construction, start-up, commissioning, and operation of a government or commercial nuclear facility
• Demonstrated knowledge of current nuclear industry trends, innovations, and regulatory construct, for both government and commercial nuclear sectors
• Successful track record of leading teams in complex regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Oversee the compliance, implementation, and effectiveness of WTCC Quality Assurance function.
• Manage the activities of an Audits and Assessments Organization, including overseeing the activities of the Audits and Assessments Supervisor and staff.
• WTCC independent Audits and Assessments Supervisor will report to the DQAM
• Perform formal and on the job training and coaching for Quality personnel related to quality programs, audit techniques, communications, interview techniques, leadership, and teaming as needed.
• Support the development, certification and certification maintenance for lead auditors.
• Manage and supervise assigned staff, ensuring timely and compliant support of WTCC activities.
• Assessing implementation, performance, and compliance of the QA Program; identify and report deficiencies to line management and WTCC MOQ.
• Coordinate and support the WTP Manager of Quality to revise the WTP QA Management System (QMS) as necessary to support WTCC activities.
• Identify and implement actions to promote improvement and correct deficiencies in the WTP QMS within WTCC.
• Develop and support process improvements within the department and to support other organizations.
