Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program for the nuclear QA system, aligned with ASME NQA-1. You will plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You’ll supervise auditors, manage qualification records, and support NRC-style audits while ensuring independence from audited work. Texas-based with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligible within 90 days
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing experience
• Experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21 and NQA-1
• Knowledge of construction materials testing or geotechnical services preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program including internal audits and supplier audits
• Lead audits end to end: notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence collection, findings, exit meeting and reporting
• Evaluate and audit safety-related suppliers, recommend additions/removals to approved supplier list
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support external audits of the program
