Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Lead Auditor to own and drive the audit program within our nuclear QA framework. You will plan the annual schedule, lead internal and supplier audits, and supervise a team of auditors and specialists to ensure corrective actions are closed with objective evidence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in nuclear QA, current or near-term NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification, and experience auditing to 10 CFR requirements.

Qualifications

• NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification current or within 90 days with exam.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA a plus; writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow without a conversation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end—notification, checklist, entrance meeting, evidence, findings, exit meeting, report; supervise team.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend approved-supplier-list changes; conduct surveillances; close corrective actions with evidence.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records and support audits of our program.
