Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to own the audit program under our nuclear QA system written to ASME NQA-1. You will plan and lead internal and supplier audits, supervise the audit team, and verify corrective actions to closure; independence from the audited work is critical.

The role requires qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligibility within 90 days, with 5+ years in nuclear QA and hands-on audits to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.

Qualifications

• NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification or eligible within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on audit experience including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Experience auditing construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• ASQ CQA a plus.
• Ability to write audit reports that NRC inspectors can follow without explanation.
• Ability to present findings clearly to auditees.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead internal and supplier audits end-to-end with a team of auditors.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend approved-supplier-list additions, conditions, and removals.
• Perform surveillances and classify findings with corrective actions.
