Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Precision Assembler to disassemble, repair, and assemble a range of equipment, including rotating equipment and nuclear pump components. You will follow work instructions, routers, drawings, and checklists, ensuring quality and accuracy.

You will independently use inspection equipment to verify dimensions, document wear, and prepare equipment for shipment, while collaborating with QA, engineering, and production teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant manufacturing, assembly, or repair experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience working with Nuclear Safety-Related pumps preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all routers, procedures, and Flowserve best practices.
• Independently inspect, repair, and assemble components and equipment while accurately completing all required documentation.
• Interface with Production Supervisors, Production Planners, Engineering, and Quality Inspectors to review and communicate the condition of critical components.
• Inspect components for critical fits and runouts and document findings using the appropriate inspection forms.
• Safely and effectively utilize a variety of common hand tools and power tools.
• Utilize torches, dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and other heat sources safely and properly during assembly and disassembly processes.
• Operate balancing equipment to accurately balance rotating components and assemblies.
• Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing when required.
• Set up and accurately read precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and gauges.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
• Travel to secondary repair facilities as needed, approximately 25% annually.
• Paint, tag, prepare, and package equipment for customer shipment as required.
• Safely utilize cranes, lifting devices, and forklifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
