Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Minneapolis, MN, to join a project team and assist senior engineers on power plant or industrial facility systems.

You will gain hands-on experience in engineering calculations, drawings, and project reporting, under supervision, with emphasis on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, while expanding your classroom knowledge through real-world projects.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Coursework in mechanical systems analysis including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Support project reporting: track progress and data across assigned tasks.
