Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Nuclear Power Group in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on design, modification, and analysis of power plant electrical systems within a project team and involves solving a range of engineering issues.

The position requires 3+ years of experience, a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (ABET), and the ability to liaison with clients. Hybrid work with three days in-office is offered.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program is required.
• 3+ years in electrical systems design for new or existing plants with component selection.
• Experience with medium/low voltage distribution, transformers, generators, motors.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, and analyze power plant electrical systems in a project team.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare and review calculations: three phase AC/DC studies, short circuit, voltage drop.
• Prepare engineering drawings input and reports meeting client requirements.
