Qualifications include a mechanical/systems engineering background with substantial experience; knowledge of design controls and ASME codes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or systems engineering from an accredited university.
• Typically ten years of engineering experience.
• Graduate degrees count as two plus years of experience.
• Specialized knowledge within mechanical/systems engineering: requirements, architecture, data management, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing plant mechanical systems using sound engineering principles.
• Identify and mitigate design conflicts using 3D software.
• Manage engineering resources across multiple projects and ensure qualified engineers perform work.
• Oversee project design cycles to deliver high-quality work on schedule.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff and promote professional growth.
• Support business development by providing technical resources and client engagement.
• Drive strategy, methodology and tooling for the area of responsibility.
