The position requires extensive CAD/PLM experience, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering on schedule and within budget. Based in Maryland with in-office requirements and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Typically ten years of engineering experience; graduate degrees count as two plus years.
• Experience in mechanical design of mechanical or fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of advanced reactor plants to inform design, manufacturing, construction and licensing strategy.
• Manage engineering resources across multiple projects and ensure qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
• Mentor staff and promote professional development.
• Ensure designs stay on schedule and within budget as defined by project leadership.
