Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacist in the Swartz Creek, MI area. You will provide radiopharmaceuticals, ensure regulatory compliance, and support diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmacology in hospitals and imaging centers.

The role involves a rotating schedule with nights every 5th week, some weekends, and potential travel for coverage. A PharmD or PharmD-related degree and active state license are required, with prior nuclear pharmacy training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred.
• Licensed pharmacist in operating state or in process of obtaining license.
• 2–4 years of experience preferred; willingness to travel for coverage.
• Strong customer service skills; manual dexterity for dispensing doses.
• Comfortable in a nuclear environment; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care as staff pharmacist, including compounding nuclear meds and quality testing.
• Direct distribution of medications using a team of drivers; manage inventory and procurement.
• Lead hiring, onboarding and performance management of pharmacy staff; oversee competency processes.
• Optimize internal nuclear pharmacy workflows; schedule staffing for efficient operations.
• Assist in cost reduction and efficiency plans to support business objectives; vendor coordination.
• Deliver doses as needed and offer emergency coverage in Kentucky and West Virginia.
