Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate, and timely radiopharmaceuticals for hospitals and imaging centers. This role operates in a regulated environment, requiring precision, leadership, and coordination of staff to maintain top-tier pharmacy operations.

The position includes on-call requirements, weekend coverage, and travel to affiliated sites as needed, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and cost-effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in the operating state (or in process)
• 2–4 years of experience preferred
• Willingness to travel to other pharmacies as needed
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays or alternate shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients as staff pharmacist including compounding nuclear medications
• Perform quality testing (chromatography) and direct distribution with drivers
• Oversee pharmacy inventory and ordering; procure alternatives when needed
• Lead hiring, onboarding and performance management for staff
• Optimize internal workflows and scheduling for efficient operations
• Assist in cost-saving and growth initiatives for the nuclear pharmacy
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and assist in demand planning
• Engage in administrative tasks and customer interactions
• Provide emergency coverage as needed in KY and WV
