The role involves leading pharmacy operations, managing inventory and staff, and driving cost-effective improvements while maintaining safety and quality in a nuclear pharmacy setting. Flexible schedule with day/night shifts and weekend/on-call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred.
• Active pharmacist license in the operating state or in process preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel to other pharmacies as needed.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Manual dexterity for handling small objects and doses.
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, or in rotation.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.
• English reading/writing proficiency.
• Authorized User certification preferred; Nuclear Pharmacy training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care, compounding nuclear medications, quality testing via chromatography, and supervising distribution with a team of drivers.
• Assess and maintain inventory, procure alternatives to mitigate risks.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for pharmacy staff.
• Direct internal workflows to optimize staffing and scheduling in nuclear pharmacy.
• Contribute to cost-saving, efficiency, and growth plans for the nuclear pharmacy business.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors for drug components and demand planning.
• Participate in administrative tasks and customer interactions to facilitate operations.
• Perform other duties, including delivering doses when needed.
• Provide emergency coverage in Kentucky and West Virginia as needed.
